I Carry Your Heart With Me

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it (anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)
i fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

Washington DC

One year ago this week my mom and I took a trip to Washington DC. I have really never been anywhere like it. I come from a small town with five traffic signals and 3 grocery stores. We used to have a mall but it burned down. So anyway when my mom asked if I would like to go to D.C. I said yes. After not being on a plane for 25 years I was not sure how I would do, but I did fine. I do get pretty bad motion sickness so I thought I would on the plane but not this time. Anyway the trip was great, my mom let me pick the places I wanted to go because she had been to DC before when she lived in West Virginia. One of the places I wanted to go was the pentagon to see where the plane hit it and see the memorial.
Some of the other places we visited were Arlington Cemetery, The National Zoo, The National Cathedral, The Museum of Natural history, The Lincoln Memorial, The Washington Monument , the White House, and many more places. Needless to say we were busy for 4 days walking... So I got blisters and my sciatic kicked in full force, but I had the best vacation I have ever had! And I cant wait to go back!
Arlington Cemetery

We were at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier   just in time to see the changing of the Guard. These guys guard the tomb 24 hours a day there is always a soldier marching back and forth even in the winter. They have to be like the best of the best.

I think the best part of the whole trip was the welcome we received when we got to the hotel and I wish I would have taken a picture for proof but I was busy trying to catch the fastest and biggest cockroach I had ever seen so I could throw him out the door!

I had schoolwork yesterday and today, but am still working on getting name pictures done.  I will be posting them soon. I have been gathering craft and recipe  ideas off pinterest (you can follow me on pinterest through the link at the top of the page that say "pinterest") to try and then blog about on here and I am going to shampoo my carpet to see how good my new carpet cleaner works and show you before and after pictures so you can be the judge.
Have a nice day everyone

I love my new beads I hope you guys do too! I have to do some homework tomorrow but will try to finish up the rest of my pictures this week. I'm still waiting to hear if I'm accepted to I-stock photo. I hope so! My photography teacher says the trick to that is too upload lots and lots of pictures, like thousands if you can Wow that's a lot of pictures but I think I,m up for that. Just need to find some good stuff and people to take pictures of!

Good news

I got some new beads. The beads are different than before but I just did not like writing names on the shell, my penmanship sucks! And most of the time so does my spelling! So I am working on doing the ones I took this weekend that I did not send or post, if I did yours the other way (writing on the shell)  and you don't like it please let me know and I will do it over. Please trust me I don't mind if you don't like the shell writing ones because I didn't like them either. So that is what I'm up to today... I will be back later.

Colorful

I'm still working in pictures today. I hope to upload some later tonight. In the meantime I would love to show you some of the pictures I take. I love nature and most the time its easier to take pictures of nature than people. Like we had a family reunion and had 24 people to get in a picture it looks horrible.  All the people are lined up uneven my husband who is 6 feet tall is kneeling for some reason... So he looks silly in the picture. So I have to practice on those tips I keep finding on pinterest. Speaking of pinterest if you have not been there you should have a look. Its a board where you can pin different pictures to. These pictures are usually links to craft ideas, decorating ideas, fashion, DIY, receipts etc.. I love it you might too.

These two pictures are from The Science Museum of  Minnesota  one is string and the other is a big bubble wall that only lasted a second each time you did it.

This is my nephew swinging around lights which he called poi

I hope to some day make a living off of my photographs and art/clay work. Today i ordered some varathane* to cover my clay work in because I don't like the one I have been using.  It feels tacky and I don't like it. So until I find the gloss I like I won't sell anything, but I am working on lots of stuff. I'm going to work on some tutorials about clay and various other things also. Like how to cover pens, lights switches, etc in clay. And how to make canes.
Until next time have a lovely evening.

Dinner for under $5

Tonight I had dinner alone. Well I do every weeknight because my husband works nights. So I bought a package of pork chops they were $4.00 and a package of zucchini for $2.00. I had 2 of the pork chops and half of a zucchini. So for around $3.00 I cooked myself dinner. To make my pork chops I used breadcrumbs and an egg mixed together as the coating.

Coating for pork chop

1 egg
1/4 cup bread crumbs
spice to taste
Mix thoroughly
dip pork chop in egg mixture
then dip in dry bread crumbs
fry or bake for at least 20 minutes on medium heat

Zucchini

1 egg
dry bread crumbs
1 sliced Zucchini

Mix up the egg and dip sliced zucchini so its coated on both sides
then dust the egg dipped zucchini in the bread crumbs again coating both sides

You can then, fry them in a little oil in a pan or bake them in the oven at about 350 for about 20 minutes

Tonight I will also be working on my name pictures. I'm going to change them again because I'm not really happy with them. I don't know I'll see. Its just frustrating I cant find those beads. I never lose anything. Maybe its a sign...
And on that note I will say have a nice night to all and hope you enjoy my recipe. I am going to leave off with a few pictures of some of my clay work. So you can have a sneak preview of some of the things I want to blog about.

This is a polymer clay cane that I made you can do lots of fun things with these canes which I will be telling you about in future posts.

This is a tiny miracle box I'm working on. You know miracles are not always big right? Sometimes they are tiny..

Some of the things out of the box. I am making this for a young lady in the hospital who has AML and is on her second round of chemo. And the last two pictures are two of my boxes that I make.

Bye All

New blog style

I am working on the blog today so if it looks funny when you stop by its just undergoing construction. I am also working on setting up an amazon page that you can shop for arts and crafts on. That needs a little more tweaking before its up and running. I am working on name pictures also today. I will try to get as many in as I can. I am also having to tweak those too because of the letter beads missing. So some might look different. In the meantime have a look at some good books on amazon.
